Spear works with some of the one million young people in the UK not in education, employment or training (NEET). Many of these young people are from homes where no-one has worked for three generations and the cultural barriers to work are high.
Spear is committed to the view that these barriers can be overcome and tackles them head on through the programme with significant success.
A key part of the way we work is by bringing together, in practical ways, those that need support with those with a desire to help; individuals, businesses and other organisations.
Much of our success can be attributed to these partners who have provided support to the team in so many ways: through volunteering, funding and corporate engagement to name just a few.
