Christina Bird

Harrow Centre Manager
Christina joined Spear for the launch of Spear Harrow in 2014. She studied Modern and Medieval Languages at University before working as an Outdoor Activities Instructor for the charity Rock UK. She is passionate about helping young people to see and to realise their potential, and is particularly inspired by the educationalist Scott Hahn, who said, ‘There is more in you than you think’.

Sam Walford

Shepherd’s Bush Centre Manager
Sam studied Physical and Sport Education with Sports Science at St Mary’s University. After graduating, he worked at Rock UK as an Outdoor Instructor in Kent. Sam is passionate about supporting and equipping young people to reach their potential, and to see themselves in a positive way.

Paul Desai

Fulham Centre Manager
Paul studied Theology at London School of Theology having spent a short time abroad after school. He joined Resurgo in 2014 after working for St Paul’s Church Hammersmith as a Community Youthworker. Previously, he also worked for TLG, which offers alternative education provision for young people struggling in mainstream education. It was during this time that Paul’s passion for seeing young people’s lives transformed was affirmed and he loves getting to play a part in their journey.

Emma Linton

Hammersmith Centre Manager
Emma joined Resurgo in 2012. She is passionate about coaching young people and loves watching the transformation that takes place as they grow in confidence and take more control of their lives. Emma studied Modern Languages at university, allowing her to work and study abroad in France and Italy.

Jo Wheeler

Clapham Junction Centre Manager
Jo joined in 2010 and was part of the team that set up Spear Clapham Junction and Spear Harrow. Jo loves seeing young people achieve goals they never imagined possible and experiencing the excitement of seeing students getting a job. Jo studied English and Performing Arts and sings in a function band.

Claire Pearson

Camden Centre Manager
Claire studied Law at Newcastle University before spending a year as a youth worker with the charity XLP, working on local estates and in schools. Claire went on to work in both the legal sector and energy recruitment before joining Spear in 2013. Claire is passionate about empowering young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to change their circumstances and realise their potential.

Hannah Caddick

Bethnal Green Centre Manager
Hannah is the centre manager for our first East London centre in Bethnal Green. She studied fashion design at the University of Leeds before working in the fashion industry. While volunteering for The William Wilberforce Trust, Hannah realised her passion for young people. Hannah began at Resurgo as a Spear intern in 2012. She loves seeing people’s lives transformed through coaching, enabling them to gain control and to flourish.
